Larger and more robust than the first generation Kindle 2, the Kindle DX is slotted to be released in the Summer of 2009. With a larger screen and higher resolution, this device is targeted at the Newspaper, Magazine and Textbook markets. Broadband Wireless support is built in for browsing the internet or buying books within seconds from Amazon’s bookstore, and is available for free wherever Sprint’s 3G network has coverage. It has support for listening to audio files, and the ability to buy audiobooks and music directly from Amazon without the need to connect to a PC.
