One of the things that I read about e-paper is that it can be used for bigger screens, not just device screens like e-books and photoframes.

One thing I noted was the combination of LCD and e-paper technologies to create a single display, but it was for a big wall-sized display. I think it will be cool to have both LCD and e-paper in a single display

I don't think it will be possible. Unless you want to have a device with two screens.

I agree, it will be very difficult to have that kind of display for small devices

It may be possible, but what for? We already have e-paper that has really good color screens, so an LCD would be redundant.

great link... thanks. I'm surprised epapercentral has a lot of great and informative articles. I tend to read just what's on the front page.

There has been reports on using e-papers for billboards... but that technology has not been rolled out yet... I think they have to find a way to protect e-paper from the elements.
