I wouldn't be surprised if e-paper hits $1 billion this year. It's basically a rapidly growing industry!

Well, I don't have the current estimates, but in 2007 the flexible display market was at $80 million.

WOW! In 2007... imagine, with all the players coming in 2008 and the launch of Kindle and other e-book readers, that could have doubled the market by now?

I think $2.8 billion is just right, considering that the market is new and there are a lot of developments right now. I am thinking it will reach $1 billion by 2010, and then double by 2011 and 2012... then taper off.

Could be... as you said, with all the new players coming in, I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Am not sure if it has doubled by now... but I agree there were some significant developments in 2008 that really made e-paper a force to reckon with.

more and more people are going to get introduced to e-paper... with the new applications coming out, epaper won't just be limited to gadgets... soon, epaper would be in everyday things and that market would explode!!!!
