Why would it be any heaver that a normal post-it-note?

My thought is that an e-post-it-note would be e-paper only, no backpanel. You would write on the note with a charged pen (think magna doodle on a very small scale). To erase the paper you would simply apply an even charge over the entire surface of the note. You might even be able to develop some hardware that would scan the note as well as erase it. There would then be the added benefit of having electronic copies of all your notes.

For this idea to be feasible the price of a single e-post-it-note would need to be only slightly more expensive than a pad of post-it-notes.

hmmmn... what makes you think it won't be using adhesives?

don't be silly... for one it's going to be very heavy to use the kind of adhesives they use for sticky notes... and you don't want these devices to keep on falling, do you?

i like the idea of having a reusable post it. I hope that they come in different colors, so that I can continue to use the same color scheming (red post its for impt. tasks, green for personal tasks, etc.)

hahahahah!!! you're really thinking of a high-tech version of the sticky notes, aren't you....

Well if they do come in different colors, I think it wouldn't be cheap.

I heard that they're coming out with post-it notes (sticky notes) that is going to be using e-paper technology. you can write on it, then erase it and reuse it.

again, another novel idea... this is a great product to have in the office.

probably not, or if ever, it probably would use magnets, which can only be stuck on metals, and not on any surface :)
